How We Work
The Odyssey Method™
If you’re here and looking for change that actually shifts how you show up in your life…
That’s where my approach comes in, integrating four foundational pillars - Neuroscience, Compassionate Leadership, Somatic Movement, and Experiential Learning - to do exactly that.
Whether you’re navigating something personal, feeling stuck in your career, or simply know there’s another level you haven’t accessed yet, this work is designed to meet you wherever you are and help you take yourself where you want to go.
The Four Pillars
-
Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system, including the brain, and how it controls behavior and cognitive functions.
On a personal level, neuroscience helps us understand how the ecosystem of the human body really works, allowing us to effect real, lasting change from the inside out.
Collectively, we can use neuroscience to shift interpersonal dynamics into alignment on a biological level, creating an environment where relationships can thrive no matter what the circumstances .
-
Unlike empathy, compassion pairs the ability to understand how someone is feeling with tangible action to improve the situation.
Compassionate Leadership combines a compassionate framework with traditional leadership skills, and applied day to day, leads to significantly less burnout and higher personal performance.
Effective Compassionate Leadership must start from within, with self-compassion as the foundation for applying this leadership style in your own life.
-
Somatic Movement differs from traditional exercise in that it focuses on internal sensation rather than completing a workout.
This form of movement restores the mind-body connection, which is often impaired by both personal experiences and the influence of our modern lifestyles.
Incorporating Somatic Movement can reduce tension, stress, and chronic pain by retraining the nervous system.
-
Experiential Learning is a process of learning that includes engaging in a new practice and then reflecting on that experience.
Compared to other forms of learning, experiential learning activates a “whole brain” response, shifting the learning experience from simply engaging to transformational.
This approach to learning not only makes it easier to retain new information, but it also creates new pathways in the brain that reinforce the application of that information.

FAQs
Who does Odyssey Coaching work best with?
We work best with individuals who know something needs to change and are ready to take responsibility for how they show up.
Our clients are often:
Navigating stress, burnout, or transition
High-performing but feeling misaligned or stuck
Ready to regulate their nervous systems to improve their quality of life and performance
Looking for thoughtful, sustainable change (not quick fixes)
What makes Odyssey Coaching different?
Odyssey Coaching is grounded in Neuroscience, Compassionate Leadership, Somatic Movement, and Experiential Learning - not generic frameworks or one-size-fits-all solutions.
We focus on how the brain and nervous system influence stress, decision-making, communication, and performance, and we pair that science with compassionate leadership principles that emphasize accountability, boundaries, and alignment. Finally, we incorporate somatic movement and experiential learning to relieve stress or outdated patterns in the body and mind.
What happens when I reach out through the contact form?
Reaching out begins a thoughtful, low-pressure conversation focused on clarity and fit.
When you submit the contact form, we review your goals, context, and what you’re navigating. From there, we’ll explore whether working together makes sense and what type of program would be most supportive.
We’re intentional about alignment. Not every inquiry leads to a working together, and that’s by design. Our goal is to ensure the work is grounded, effective, and mutually aligned.
